The workspace
The five zones of the editor — the top bar, the module rail, the sheets, the drawing area and the library — and what each one is for.
Open a project and the screen splits into five zones. They never move, so it is worth learning them once.

Everything here acts on the project, not on what you are drawing.
| The logo | Takes you Home and closes the project. Home is where projects are opened and switched. |
| The plan badge | FREE, PRO or EDU. |
| The project name | The one you gave it when you created it. |
| Simulate | Starts the simulation. It reads Running while the circuit is live. |
| Simulation speed | Appears while running: ×0.2 to ×10. |
| Export | Takes the drawing out of UnifCAD. |
| Theme and language | Light or dark, and the language of the interface. |

The narrow strip down the left edge is where you move between the three modules of the project — Schematic, Programming and Process. The active one is highlighted.
- A padlock on an icon means that module belongs to a paid plan. Clicking it shows you the plans instead of opening it.
- Split view puts two modules side by side. Click a module to add it to the split or take it out; two panes is the maximum.
- You can also drag a module icon onto the workspace and drop it where you want it. That is the fastest way to say "put Programming on this half".
There is no global panel on the right
Each module brings its own side panels. What you see beside the sheet in the Schematic is the Schematic's, and it changes when you switch modules — which is why the same edge can hold a component library here and something else there.

A project is not one drawing. The left panel lists its sheets, and + adds another. On the Free plan a project holds 2 sheets; PRO removes the limit.
Sheets are how a real schematic is organised: power on one, control on the next, so a page stays readable instead of growing sideways forever.

The sheet itself, with the border, the column numbers and row letters down the edges, and the title block in the bottom right corner — project, author, date, description and sheet number, filled in from the project.
Everything snaps to the grid, which is why wires meet cleanly instead of missing each other by a hair.
Moving around:

The tools that act on the drawing rather than on the project: undo and redo, the selection and pan tools, the text tool, the Wiring Corner (90°), the Three-Phase Cable (Bus), the wire colours of the project, cross-references, the grid, and the zoom controls.
It floats over the sheet instead of docking to an edge, so it never steals width from the drawing.

The catalog, on the right, organised the way an electrician thinks: Power Supply, Command & Control, Detectors & Contacts, Coils & Timers, Control Contacts, Signaling, Protection, Motors, Controllers, Drives, Analog signals, Measuring instruments and Cross-references.
You can browse it by category or search the whole catalog with Ctrl + K — see placing components.
Any side panel can be collapsed to give the drawing the width, and dragged to resize — double-click the edge to put it back.
The notebook
A floating notebook sits over the workspace, in every project. It holds the task you are working on — the statement of the exercise, the inputs and outputs — and it covers the drawing instead of pushing it aside, so opening it never costs you width. A click puts it away.
