Connect Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor to UnifCAD and let it draw, wire and simulate your circuits — with your own assistant and your own subscription.

UnifCAD does not ship an assistant of its own. It opens your project to the assistant you already use — Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or any other that speaks the Model Context Protocol (MCP) — so you can ask it, in plain words, for a circuit and watch it appear on the sheet.

Ask for "a direct-on-line starter for a 5.5 kW motor with a 24 V control circuit and a run lamp" and the assistant places the devices as IEC symbols, designates them (Q1, KM1, F2, S1, S2, H1, M1), wires power and control, checks the drawing and tells you what it built. Every change it makes is one step in your undo history.

What it can do

Schematic — place devices, wire terminal to terminal, move and remove them, open a new sheet or a panel layout, and check the drawing the way the sheet does: a contact whose coil does not exist, two devices with the same designation, a part off the frame.
Simulation — start and stop it, press a pushbutton, switch a selector, and read what every device is doing.
PLC — create a PLC, declare its tags, write the program in Structured Text, compile it, load it into the CPU on the sheet and read or force its memory.
Plant — add equipment, connect piping, and link a motor or a level switch on the sheet to the machine it drives or watches.

It works on the project you have open, and on your plan: what the FREE plan does not include, the assistant cannot place either.

Connect it — cloud link (PRO and EDU)

Add UnifCAD to your assistant

In your assistant's settings, add a custom connector (it may be called an integration, an app or an MCP server) with the address above. The robot icon in UnifCAD's top bar shows the same address, with a Copy button.

The assistant opens a UnifCAD page: sign in with your UnifCAD account. The page reads Authorize followed by your assistant's name, lists what it will be able to do, and shows where you return afterwards — if that is not the assistant you use, choose Deny. Otherwise choose Allow.

Keep UnifCAD open

Open your project in UnifCAD. While you are signed in, it connects by itself — in every browser, with no switch to turn on. The robot in the top bar turns green and its panel reads connected.

That is all. From then on, ask your assistant for a circuit in any conversation.

UnifCAD has to be open

Your assistant works on the project open in your browser, not on a copy in the cloud. If no UnifCAD tab is open, it answers that UnifCAD is not connected — open the project and ask again.

Several tabs, several browsers

Only one UnifCAD tab takes your assistant's orders at a time: the one you used last. Open UnifCAD in another browser, or come back to an older tab, and the link moves there as soon as you use it.

The other tabs wait. Their robot turns blue and reads in another tab; the button Use the assistant in this tab takes the link back at once. When the tab that holds it closes, a waiting tab takes over by itself within about fifteen seconds.

Turn it off

Open the robot's panel and choose Turn off. It stays off in that browser until you turn it on again with Turn the link on. To remove the authorisation altogether, disconnect UnifCAD from your assistant's settings.

Local link — every plan

The panel's This computer mode connects your assistant through the UnifCAD bridge installed on your computer instead of through the cloud. It is available on every plan. The first time, choose Request PIN in the robot's panel, ask your assistant for the PIN it received, type it and choose Pair; the browser remembers it from then on.

When something does not work

Your assistant says UnifCAD is not connected. Open your project in UnifCAD, signed in, and check that the robot reads connected.
The robot's panel says the cloud link is part of the PRO and EDU plans. Your account is on the FREE plan: use the local link, or see the plans.
The robot reads not signed in. Sign in to UnifCAD from the panel.
Your assistant does not see a new capability. Some assistants read the list of what UnifCAD offers only when the connector is added. Refresh the connector in your assistant's settings, then start a new conversation.

Your data

UnifCAD never sees your conversation. Your assistant sends UnifCAD one order at a time — place this device, wire these terminals — and receives the result. The link relays those orders to your open tab and keeps no copy of your project. What your assistant does with the answers is governed by your assistant provider's own terms.
